Eastbourne Mosque has existed since 1984 housed in an old social club. The building is antiquated and our community needs a safe and modern building to worship in. Eastbourne Council has given us planning permission to rebuild our existing mosque.
Our community has raised £175,000 so far and we need another £125,000 to commence building. Work is scheduled to start in Summer 2012.
There is great reward in building a mosque for Allah’s sake. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in
Paradise.” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim]
