Eid Ul-Adha 2022 Prayers

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

Eastbourne Mosque would like to announce that Eid ul-Adha will be on Saturday 9th July 2022.

There will be two Eid prayers at: 08:00 and 10:00 in our mosque.

The usual COVID secure practice will be applied and people will be reminded to adhere to the following conditions for Eid Salah arrangements:

  • Wudu: Please perform wudu at home – The wudu area and toilets will be closed in the masjid
  • Sanitise and wash your hands before entering the mosque
  • Please consider wearing a face mask within the mosque covering both your nose and mouth in FULL unless exempt if you can.
  • Everyone must bring their own Musallah (prayer mat) and shoe bags.
  • There must be no congregating inside or outside of the Mosque anytime.
  • Try to share transportation to avoid congestion around the Mosque.
  • If you are driving to the Mosque kindly park your car facing towards the fence to avoid disturbance to our neighbours with the lights.
  • Please kindly help yourself and others by following our advice.

May Allah accept all our good deeds and forgive our shortcomings during the Holy Month.

Eid Ul-Adha 2022 Announcement

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

Eastbourne Mosque would like to announce that Eid ul-Adha will be on Saturday 9th July 2022.

Friday 8th July will be the day of Arafah.

It is advisable to do as many good deeds as possible during these days, including fasting, especially on the day of Arafah.

Further details about Eid matters will be provided later on during the week.


May Allah accept all our good deeds and make this sacred period an opportunity for repentance, mutual forgiveness and soul purification.

Eid Ul-Fitr 2022 Announcement

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

We are pleased to announce that we shall be celebrate Eid Ul-Fitr on Monday the 2nd May 2022 InshaAllah.

There will be two Eid prayers at 08:00 and 10:00 in our mosque.

The ladies area will also be open for them to attend both Eid salahs.

The usual COVID secure practice will be applied and people will be reminded to adhere to the following conditions for Eid Salah arrangements:

  • At the Masjid: Please follow the instructions of the marshals
  • Parking: Parking facilities are limited. Do not park on double yellow lines or the private side street. You are likely to be clamped
  • Wudu: Please perform wudu at home
  • Sanitise and wash your hands before entering the mosque
  • Wear a face mask at ALL TIMES covering both your nose and mouth in FULL unless exempt.
  • Everyone must bring their own Musallah (prayer mat) and shoe bags.
  • Do not congregate inside and outside the masjid after Eid salahs. It is important to prepare for the next group. Please leave the masjid by 9.30am following the first salah
  • Do not congregate outside in front of the houses as we do not want the neighbours to be disturbed.
  • Please stay for some refreshments after salah.

Zakat ul Fitr

Boxes are available at the door for zakat ul fitr which is £5 per person.

You can pay your Zakat Ul Fitr now to avoid congestion on the day.

Zakat ul fitr must be paid before Eid salahs.

Please donate generously to keep our Mosque running and functioning for our community.

May Allah accept all our good deeds and forgive all our shortcomings.
