Basic Life Support Training – BIMA Lifesavers course

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh brothers and sisters in Islam,

“And whoever saves a life it is as though he had saved the lives of all mankind

(5:32) The Holy Qura’an

We are pleased to announce that for the first time, the BIMA LIVESAVERS course will be held in Eastbourne mosque on Saturday 24 September after Zohur prayer (13:15) inshallah.

This is a community event organised in conjunction with British Islamic Medical Association (BIMA).

LIVESAVERS is the flagship project of BIMA which is being held in mosques all over the country on the same date and time. Each year thousands of members of the community are taught Basic Life Support (BLS) by Livesavers volunteers.

This event is open to both male and female attendees so both both brothers and sisters will be catered for. The event will be delivered and taught by both male and female doctors from Eastbourne DGH.

We expect the event to last around 3 hours in total.

Preliminary outline of the event:
1-Introductory presentation/video demonstration
2- Practical session on Basic Life Support (small groups under supervision)
3- Questions
4- Feedback from the participants

We encourage all members of our community to come and learn these essential skills.

Those of you who have attended such courses before please still come and refresh your skills

We hope to make it a yearly event for our community
