Eastbourne’s Faith Forum 2016

‘Faith Matters…’

An event in support of Inter-Faith Week 2016
Congress Suite, Carlisle Road
(Entrance next to Congress Theatre)
7pm, Tuesday 15th November 2016

Does faith matter? What matters when you have faith? Are you interested in knowing more about inter-faith in Eastbourne and how faith matters to different religions and beliefs? If you are then this free event will be a great opportunity to find out more.

There will be short presentations from a number of faiths followed by a question and answer session, as well as information displays and free refreshments.

So if you are curious or you just want to come along and have an interesting time learning about the diversity of faiths in your town, we would like to welcome you.

You do not need to have specific religious or faith beliefs to join us – everyone is welcome!

Eid al-Adha 2016 Celebrations

Eid al-Adha 2016 Celebrations

 

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

We are happy to announce that we shall be celebrate Eid Al-Adha on Monday the 12th September 2016 InshaAllah.

 

Prayer will start at 8am at the Willingdon Trees Community Centre.

Inshallah there will also be other fun family-friendly exciting activities for the entire community to participate in as well as further fundraising for our new Masjid.

Income: £91,358.13
Expenses: £19,398.96
For 1st August – 31st August 2016
Income: £23,295.51
Expenses: £61,722.37

Current Balance on 31st August 16 – £274,954.80

Eid Ul-Fitr 2016

eid3Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

We are happy to announce that we shall be celebrate Eidul-Fitr on Wednesday the 6th July InshaAllah.

 

Eid Prayer will be in Willingdon Hall at 9am followed by Eid celebration.

Eid prayers start at 9am, and Eid party after Salaat.

May Allah accept all our good deeds and forgive our shortcomings during the Holy Month.

Please remember Zakatul-Fitr of £5 to be given before prayer.

We are still blessed with one final night and let’s make the most out of it.

Ramadan 2016

After looking at various sources I have the pleasure to announce that InshaAllah tomorrow, Monday 6th June 2016 is the 1st Ramadan.

May Allah bless us all and forgive our sins during this Holy month by enabling us to respect Ramadan and make the most out of it and may Allah accept all our good deeds.

InshaAllah we will be praying Isha followed by Tarawih from tonight at 11.00 pm in Hampden Park as previously announced.
The hall it is in the back of the church. The address is as follows:

Some important notes for Tarawih hall, so please help us by following the rules.

There will be someone standing outside the church to help and guide people who need parking information and help.

1- Please ensure you respect the neighbourhood by not making noise while coming and going.

2- Please avoid parking inside the church car park as spaces are limited and it is strictly forbidden to park on the grass. There is plenty of parking available in the Hampden Park area very close to the church. Please park in the roads opposite or in the Hampden Park car park where there is plenty space and enjoy the short walk.

3- Only disabled cars allowed inside the church area.

4- Please share your car by bring brother and sisters.

5- Alhamdulillah prayer facility has been arranged for the sisters. Sisters area is at the back of the hall. Please follow the signs inside the church hall.

6- Please bring your prayer matts.

7- Please share your car by bring brother and sisters.

8- Please do not bring any food into the church hall.

9- Drinking water will be  available at the church hall.
