Eid Ul-Fitr 2023 Announcement

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

We are pleased to announce that we shall be celebrate Eid Ul-Fitr on Friday the 20th April 2023 InshaAllah.

There will be two Eid prayers at 08:00 and 10:00 in our mosque.

The ladies area will also be open for them to attend both Eid salahs.

The usual COVID secure practice will be applied and people will be reminded to adhere to the following conditions for Eid Salah arrangements:

  • At the Masjid: Please follow the instructions of the marshals
  • Parking: Parking facilities are limited. Do not park on double yellow lines or the private side street. You are likely to be clamped
  • Wudu: Please perform wudu at home
  • Sanitise and wash your hands before entering the mosque
  • Wear a face mask at ALL TIMES covering both your nose and mouth in FULL unless exempt.
  • Everyone must bring their own Musallah (prayer mat) and shoe bags.
  • Do not congregate inside and outside the masjid after Eid salahs. It is important to prepare for the next group. Please leave the masjid by 9.30am following the first salah
  • Do not congregate outside in front of the houses as we do not want the neighbours to be disturbed.
  • Please stay for some refreshments after salah.

Zakat ul Fitr

Boxes are available at the door for zakat ul fitr which is £5 per person.

You can pay your Zakat Ul Fitr now to avoid congestion on the day.

Zakat ul fitr must be paid before Eid salahs.

Please donate generously to keep our Mosque running and functioning for our community.

May Allah accept all our good deeds and forgive all our shortcomings.

Ramadan 2023 Activities

As we welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, EICC is pleased to announce the following activities

May Allah accept our fasting, charities and all acts of worship and make this month a source of blessing, unity of hearts and intentions and guidance for us all.

Ramadan 2023 Announcement

Dear brothers and sisters,

We are pleased to announce that inshaa Allah Ramadan will begin on Thursday the 23rd of March 2023. Taraweeh prayers will start from Wednesday 22nd March 2023 at 09:00pm.

Below are some updates for our community to consider during this holy month:

Taraweeh

Taraweeh prayers will be held at 09.00pm throughout the month of Ramadan.

From Sunday 26th March, Ishaa & Taraweeh prayers will start at 10:00pm in view of the clock change.

If you can, please continue to wear masks in and around the mosque for your protection and those around you.

Please be mindful of our neighbours and our local community. Be considerate with your parking and limit the noise and disturbance outside the Mosque.

Parking

Please car share as parking is limited.

Park away from the Mosque to avoid congestion and bear in mind our neighbours.

Children

It is always good to see children in the masjid. Parents are advised to ensure they take care of their children and minimise any noise.

Donations

Ramadan is the perfect month to be charitable. Please do charity and zakat more and more. There will be collection for our Mosque every evening after taraweeh prayers.

External organisations may wish to come and have a collection on week days except Fridays. All such requests should be passed on to Br Khalil.

Zakat-ul-Fitr

Please pay Zakatu Al-Fitr £5 per individual in your family. Please pay direct to EICC bank account or via Paypal. Here is the link. Please use “Zakat-ul-Fitr” for reference.

Please ensure that your Zakat-ul-Fitr payment is made before Eid prayer.

Your donations will be sent to Muslim Aid as per our usual practice.
