Qur’an Teachers
The Eastbourne Islamic Cultural Center (EICC) is seeking inspirational teachers to continue the growth and development of our friendly and popular madrasa.
Role description:
Teaching of Quran, Tajweed, Islamic way of life, be flexible, commitment to the development of the children, manage learning and classroom, observe modest dress code, dedicate 5 hours per week of teaching and preparation, be prepared to teach on Thursdays and Fridays from 5pm to 7pm; Saturdays and Sundays from 11.00am to 1.00pm.
Role Requirements:
– Have knowledge of the Quran and Islamic teachings
– Ideally have previous experience in teaching
– Be dynamic and well equipped to bring about required changes
– Have a strong command of written and spoken English.
This role will not only require candidates to help young people learn the basics of Islam through the standards set, but also to nurture and inspire them through being a role model.
DBS check will be carried out for all successful candidates.
Hours: up to 5 hours per week
Starting date: September 2018
Salary: depending on experience
